As a stage actor, Andy has appeared in over 40 productions in London and theatres across Britain, most recently as Iago in Shakespeare’s Othello (Royal Exchange).
In film and television, Andy has acted in over 60 productions, receiving great acclaim, nominations and awards for his roles, most recently as Albert Einstein in “Einstein and Eddington” , his Golden Globe and BAFTA nominated performance in “Longford” and his BAFTA-nominated role as the legendary British proto-punk Ian Dury in “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.”
As a director, Andy has worked across all performance media. Last year he directed performance in Ninja Theory/Sony’s hit Playstation 3 title “Heavenly Sword,” setting a new benchmark for emotionally engaging characters in videogames. He has just completed his second game project with Ninja Theory. He has also directed/produced the short film “Snake” and “The Double Bass” for the stage. As a founder member of Caveman Films, Andy has several feature film projects in development and is planning to shoot his debut feature “The Giant.”
